Paypal cases

Greetings. So I started selling on ebay some digital products and in the last month someone scammed me. He opened cases on paypal for every item he purchased saying that the purchases were unauthorised. I know that he is a scammer because his ebay account is not older than 2 months, and he opened the cases 3 weeks after he purchased the items. He did not open them all at once, even though he was satisfied with the purchases (he rated positive on all the transactions). So I provided proof on every case and I learned that sellers are not protected if they sell digital products. So he got away with the money + I received a chargeback fee of 20$. So my question is, can I close a case and return the buyer's money if I provided proof to a case and it is under paypal review? I just think it's not worth to lose any more money...

Hi there,
You should provide:
- Tracking number for delivery of the item
- Proof of a refund – this can be evidence from your PayPal account, the back and front copy of a cheque, or a money order used to reimburse the buyer
- Any communication from the buyer, such as emails or positive feedback on eBay
- Any contracts signed or information on the sent item
- Date that the item was sent and the address it was sent to
- For intangible items or subscriptions – any information regarding the item or service
In these and all other chargeback cases, the more relevant information you can provide, the better your chance of reversing the chargeback.
Unfortunately, you have to pay the fees if the case goes in favor of the buyer. However, you can avoid this in future by only providing goods and services that falls under PayPal seller protection.
