Paypal Protection RE. Software purchase

Is it possible to get back money from a software developer through paypal protection who I bought software from who when contacted for customer support keeps sending you a "link" to follow and when you do EVERYTHING the link says they still continue to resend the same link? After the 2nd email with the same link I wrote them a detailed email of what was going on and once again they sent me the same link to follow. I thought maybe it was just a standard link that was generated to follow if your email has certain words in it but when I got so fed up I replied, "really?" to them, they replied "yes." I just sent them what will be my last email asking if I did something wrong and why they wont help when a customer that paid over $100 for the software is asking for support.

Read this for what qualifies for purchase protection and other disputing options you have:

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#purchase-protection

If you funded purchase with credit card, I'd rather dispute with card issuer.  Their dispute coverage is much broader than PayPal 's.

First check if there is a returns policy.  If none, let the merchant know that the software is not working, etc and you'd like a refund.  If that fails, dispute with card issuer.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

you have up to 180 days to file a dispute, either not received or not as described.

if not received, then they have to prove tracking which they have none,so you will get your money back.

there is no protection for digital goods, real estate, auto, customs orders
