Who sent the email?
What transactions are in your PayPal activity summary?
Since there is a clickable link, I suspect the email to be suspicious or even a phishing scheme.
Did you check your credit card activity today?
There are several irrgularties.
When credit card purchases are made through PayPal, the seller generally shows up as PP ** followed by the business name, not as the business name.
The claim is that you made the purchase with a credit card, not PayPal. Did you, or someone else, make a credit card purchase from the company?
If you didn't make the purchase with any credit card, and no one else used your credit card account, then it should be wise to ignore.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response.
The email was from: PayPal<epay(at)paysubscriptions.co.uk"
The activity in my PayPal summary are all transactions that I know about, and there has been no payment taken from the credit card linked to the account. No one else has access to that card.
I think I will take your advice and ignore it - Thanks for your help.
