How do I know money paid to my PP a/c is cleared before I ship

I sold a camera on an online buy/sell forym. The buyer will pay with Paypal. But before I ship the item how do I know the funds are cleared - securely in my account without finding out a week later that the buyer didn't somehow scam me?

You will get a message from ebay that the buy has paid you via paypal and you can then view the transaction to see that it is in fact in your account. This wil also allow you to see if the paypal user is verified and if they have confirmed address. 

The only way it then can be removed is if a buyer opens a dispute against you. If that happens the money may be held / removed from your paypal balance until the dispute is resolved in someone's favor.
