Buyer cancels payment after receiving the package.

I recieved a $1499.99 payment and I shipped the computer that day with insurance and tracking. Tracking shows that it was left with an individual at the buyers address. No word from the buyer after trying to confirm whether or not the package was in their posession and working. Payment was canceled and the buyer said they didn't receive the item. I'm left with no money and no computer. Now what?

You have no seller protection since you did not require buyer signature for delivery confirmation which is required for over $750.  They buyer does not have to communicate with you and emails from buyer would not matter.  All this matters for PayPal is signature delivery confirmation.

With a name like Boomer, I take it you are in Australia ?

 

One or two criminal offences have been committed. Paypal "rules" to not apply. Why a Paypal "Advisor" would advise otherwise is a bit strange.

 

You have proof of delivery. The buyer says not received. If the buyer did in fact receive the package then he has committed the offence of Fraud. A Police matter.

 

If however, the buyer did not receive the item, then the person at the buyers address that you have proof of delivery to, has committed the offence of Mail Theft. Mail theft = 7 years jail.

 

If it were me, I would contact the buyer and tell them that you are going to the Police. Give him 24 hours to pay up. Then (don't wait 24 hours) contact your local Police.

Did he open a case of item not received ,look into resolution,once he did that,Paypal withhold the amount ,if you look into activities,it is still there but it would say withheld,which means you cant do a thing with it until it is resolved.

now lets keep quiet about this signature busines,robot seems not to care,so,you have tracking,and it shows it has been delivered  tohis address and left with a person ,not him.

how did you know that,who is the carrier?

may be the guy kept the item and did not tell him it was left with him,call him and talk to him now.

also find the case in your resolution center,and see what is the status,Paypal usuall give you time to respond,upload tracking.

if you insure that kind of money with USPS,it will require the recipient to sign the package,this is how it was done when I use USPS insurance,unless they change it,can somene confirm this.

The signature is with USPS,you have to ask them to give it to you.
