Problem...

I had a pre-payed card on my account. Someone used my account to purchase a product, and I got a full refund.

Here's the problem. The pre-payed card was with vanilla visa, meaning you can't receive money on it, you can only send. This means even after making a dispute I am losing the stolen money. Somewhat dissapointed, hope I can get some help. Thanks! - Andy.

Not sure if this is in the right section, so if it is not, please move it or reply with a comment letting me know it's not.

Welcome to the Community!

If the payment was refunded to the card (which we're required to do for almost all card transactions), the prepaid card will be able to accept it.  If it couldn't, they would have rejected our attempt to credit it and instead we would have placed the credit in your PayPal account balance. Card issuers tend to build this functionality into even prepaid cards because they understand that a merchant usually has to return the funds in this manner.

It can take up to 48 hours for the card issuer to claim the funds, and then after that, it's up to them how long it is before they apply the credit to your card balance.  Card issuers can choose to take up to 30 days to do this, but it's their own choice as to how long they decide to take.

Thanks!
