Need help. Seller first sent defective item, after I returned that they sent a USED item & now want to give me $3 store credit for $30 item! Seller is in China I'm in USA... I made this purchase in July it's now almost Thanksgiving! There were other items in the order that have broken just sitting in the boxes & an item they kept telling me was shipping in a couple days that I ended up having to order something else & they refunded the $4 difference. Before they would accept the defective item in the beginning I had to first take a pic then I had to put a video on my personal Twitter account and they gave instructions to make sure I did not put their company's name anywhere in the post! Do I have any recourse at this point? I'm past the date that PayPal allows to start a dispute resolution... What else can I do? Will my credit card company do anything if I paid through PayPal to China?

@Litorphan

We have more posts on here for misdescribed or cheap / not good quality items from China than anywhere else.

Cheap is often not good combined with the fact of trying to get a refund and the cost of sending items back again.

Your best bet is to contact your card issuer and do a chargeback.

You should still be able to open a dispute, right?  Since you're a US buyer, US buyer protection terms apply so you have 180 days (6 months) to file a dispute unless you've tried and the system didn't let you file one...otherwise open a dispute on the transaction with your cc company as previously mentioned.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I tried to do the dispute resolution but it doesn't show the transactions from that long ago. It says 2 months. Are you sure I have 6 through PayPal?
