hello
i'm new here.
I gave an item to someone and he was going to pay me after that through PP.
Instead of that i received a weird line in my transaction.
it has an icon and says. "this is a paypal gift. it take one hour to reflect your account ! this payment is non-refundable!
As a type it is says "Bill from"
then as status payment says: "marked as paid" and then has another box if i drag the mouse on this and i get this
"The recipient paid the invoice with a payment method other than PayPal and the requestor marked the invoice as paid"
When i go to details i see the details of this person but says "Bill to" and then my email.
So what is this Invoice thing?
Not only I did not receive the money i was supposed to receive but also this guy when he "sees" that money is in my account will "steal" them?
Is that a scam? is there any chance i receive my money?
somewhere in the support section here i saw that after "marked as paid" money are going to be added in my balance.
Should i expect something like that?

If it was marked as an invoice then its probably a scam doing the rounds as its been sent by a buyer and altered to look as though he has paid you.
Signs its a scam are >>>
its an invoice BUT sellers send invoices not buyers
marked as paid
marked as gift
says payment won't show in your balance for eg 24 hours
can't be chargedback.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send anything until the funds are showing in your paypal account balance.
Paypal payments are more or less instant.
Paypal will never tell you that a payment can't be subject to a chargeback.
