I am very worried right now about using the paypal debit card. I have been using the debit card for months with no problems and I have only used it at chain retail stores like Target/Best Buy/Sports Stores/etc. and online services with high reputation like Spotify, Amazon, Ebay, etc. But I checked my Paypal this morning and I noticed that I was about $2,500 short. So I checked my account and on May 23rd, four purchases were made with my debit card for amounts of $30-$1,890 and all close to the same time. And these purchases are all over the place like Texas and even Great Britain (which is the $1,890 one). I called up Paypal and they disabled my debit card and sent me a new one. They also were able to refund a $280 purchase from that day because it wasn't collected by the merchant yet. However the $1,890 could take a while since it is pending, and they are opening disputes for the three that were not refunded.
At this point I am very worried, so I want to ask the community a few questions. Has fraud with paypal debit cards happened to you before? If a dispute for an unauthorized purchase is open by Paypal, does it get resolved? This is very important to me because that was almost all the money I had on Paypal and I am very worried of losing it. I haven't given my paypal information to anyone nor my debit info.
