I noticed my paypal pay after delivery has changed from 14 days to 10 days just yesterday? Did paypal change it? All my purchases for the last few years have been 14 days, now the past 2 days there all 10 days now?

NSF does not fit into buyer protection, buyer protection is for item not received, item not as described and unauthorised transaction, not NSF.

Paypal always attempt twice to debit your bank account, first attempt failed, then it tries again in 2 days,so your bank is chargeing you every time there is not enough fund in your account.

try go to your bank and ask them to waive the second round of NSF.

always make sure you have ample fund ,also cushion for situation such as this case.

PAD is now 10 days, not 14 days, how long does Paypal wait after order is confirmed to access your bank?

it should be 10 days after order is placed.

I would like to know has anyone notice that the pay after delivery is not 14 days anymore. I had it last wk now it has changed. Say if you were to buy something today 10.02 it would be deducted from you account 10.12. This is not 14 days. So has anyone else notice this besides me.

Hi!  I just noticed this as well.  I searched my emails for a Paypal policy update about this and I could not find anything.  I searched the Paypal website and it says only international purchases will still be 14 days.  I am glad I noticed the change to 10 days before placing a couple of new orders.  I just did not see anywhere where this change was announced?

Hi everyone!

Thanks for stopping by the Community! There have been changes made to Pay After Delivery debits.

We have found that a timeframe of 10 days covers the domestic delivery windows offered by most major shipping companies (e.g. USPS Standard Post takes 2 - 8 business days , USPS Priority Mail takes 1-3 business days). As such we decided to reduce the debit timeframe accordingly. For international deliveries we will continue to debit after 14 days.

We sent an email notifying all affected customers of this change on August 21, 2017. Information was also shared in the notifications section of PayPal accounts. In addition, we will always provide the date when we will be debiting your account on the transaction details for each Pay After Delivery transaction and send you reminder emails when that date is approaching.

I hope this helps!

-Ashley

I always use pay after delivery. It is always set up to take the payment out of my account 14 days after the purchase this last time I did it it put me at 10 days after the purchase I'm trying to figure out why as it is going to cause a problem with my bank

Because paypal have reduced your interest free loan to 10 days instead of 14.

If you’re going to make that point then just explain how it costs PayPal any more money to hold the charge for an extra 4 days? Almost everyone gets paid every 2 weeks so it only makes sense for it to be a 14 day period. 10 days is random and stupid.

Well i don't have to explain anything, someone asked why it was going to be 10 days instead of 14. So i informed them its because the hold in the U.S has gone down from 14 > 10 days.

Right. You don’t have anything to explain because there’s no difference on Paypal’s end, there’s no logical defense for why it should change. The theme in every thread is why in the world PAD was changed with no notification from PayPal. If I wanted to know that it changed from 14 to 10 days I have to google a help article for that instead of reading your comment or receiving any kind of notification that this would be changing. PayPal didn’t even bother letting longstanding customers know that it was changing I received no notification of any kind.
