Paypal Prepaid Mastercard cant link

I received my Paypal Prepaid Mastercard in the mail with my name on it but when i try to link it to my paypal account it says 

You have encountered the following error(s):

• There is already an account registered with the provided email address.

i cant find where or how to remove this account................

it has its own website,why not inquire there?

Have you triedto link the temporary card ?

i had linked the temporary card and erased it in the regular way already but dont know if there is some special linking page reserved for paypal prepaid mastercards?

I have had this paypal account since 2008 and i believe it may be refferring to some long lost paypal card from years ago when it was a new thing and not organized  in the same way on the website,.....
