While the general release of this product has not yet begun, this thread is here for questions about the product. If you're in the initial limited release and have experience with the card reader, please feel free to ask or answer questions in this thread. I'm having the same problem. Tech support is trying to figure it out. Does the same thing on both my iPad and iPhone . Can't even add cc numbers. Very frustrating.

I just got Paypal Here set up on my iPad. It works fine but my question is - Is there a way to cancel a transaction after you've swiped a card and before the customer has signed?  I tried searching here and elsewhere but couldn't find anything.

 

In other words - you swipe the card and then realise that there was a mistake and you want to go back or start over.

I think you will have to login to your Paypal account (not the Paypal Here app) and issue a refund on the transaction. Then go back to the Paypal Here app & reenter the sales items.

You CAN refund in the here app. Go to profile-sales history,click the sale. Scroll down and you can refund all or part of the total

If you've gotten to the signiture screen, it's already charged. You can only refund the order and start over.

Thanks for the quick replies!  This seems like a pretty basic function and a serious omittion in the software.  I hope a future version allows for cancelling a transaction or going back to amend it.

The app does not work from the beginning. If i try to log in it gives me "ERROR, System error. Please try again." Each time. i've upgraded to iOS7 recently.

I have an iPhone 5S, the card reader causes my phone to sound an alert to REMOVE device from headphone jack immediately and starts buzzing.

 

So far I have

deleted the app and downloaded again

Cleared the cookies and the history

and restarted downloading the app again.

 

Called PayPal Customer Service (3) times

 

The card reader works in my iPad

and my headphones work just fine in my headphone jack of the iPhone 5s.

Hi, I stared using the card reader on my phone and it works great. My only problem is that everytime that I want to sign through my phone instead my email, I have to put a PIN number ( seems to be a 4 digit number) and I can't remember it. 

 

I try to look at my profile but I don't see it anything realted to PIN number for the card reader.

 

Where can I go to find it or change it?
