Hi everyone!

 

While the general release of this product has not yet begun, this thread is here for questions about the product. If you're in the initial limited release and have experience with the card reader, please feel free to ask or answer questions in this thread. If you have questions about how PayPal Here works, please feel free to post them here too.

When I try and download I get an error message that my phone is not compatible with PayPal Here.  I know you need 2.3 or higher.  I am using 2.5.  What do I need to do to download it to my Motorola Droid X?

Why am I losing my items I enter into PP Here? I've entered items twice last night and today they're gone, not all but most.

I saw earlier that it was said HP ePrint printers will work with the PayPal Here receipt printing.

 

We have a 8600 Premium in our office, and none of the Android based phones that we have, while connected to our wifi network, will see the printer when the app scans for it.

 

Any ideas on what we can do here?

I am having the same problem with the paypal here. After download when i type in login info, it goes to ss # the app freezes. tried the reinstall reboot but keeps freezing oh i have a samsung I500 which shows compatible with paypal here. need help???

I joined the waitlist and got invited in Australia. A reader is being sent out, and I had to re-verify my account.

 

However, when I login with the same email that I signed up with, I get the 'almost here' message on both my iPhone and iPad. I spoke to the team who told me to wait- this was around 2 weeks ago and I have since heard nothing. They said that my account is approved and fully verified and that there is no reason why it shouldn't be working.

 

My mobile phone number is verified but I can't login with this as it says include the full international dialing code. However, I have tried every combination of phone number I can think of.

 

Any help would be great as we are really keen to get going with PayPal Here in our business.

Hi Demit, 

I have the same problem and am just using my email rather than my phone number for this. Looking for an answer here too.

The email login also took a little while to start working , so unless you are using more than one email, it may just mean waiting. My delay was that they had limited my Paypal account until I had provided documentation for proof of business etc.

My email now works but the mobile login still wont.

 

Also, once you have it up and running you will probably notice that your 'triangle' is useless here in Australia as most cards are now chip and you have to scan or type in the details incurring extra costs.

Also users cant use thier pin, they have to sign which I am having trouble convincing people to do.

I posted a question here on the forum about this but my post keeps disappearing.

Perhaps because this an american forum, they dont think our questions apply, good luck , I hope we get some answers.

I hope this has been resolved by now. 🙂  It sounds like the application was just waiting for approval.  If you're still getting that message, please let us know.

 Hi Deezwho,  we thought this issue had been fixed but I'll let the engineers know it's not. Sorry for the trouble.

Does the mobile phone and pin login work on the regular PayPal mobile app?  If not, it sounds like the phone login and pin just needs to be setup on the PayPal website.  If it does work on the PayPal mobile app but not the PayPal Here app, please let me know.

 Hi Alan,

Very sorry to hear about this issue.  Normally we would just recommend that you add that email address to your PayPal account but I know that's not an option because of the test money request.  Unfortunately, there's no fast and easy way to override that so you can add the email.  The only way around it would be to open a new PayPal account using that email address.  I'm also sorry to hear that you were advised that PayPal Here is generally available in Australia.  We're still in the exclusive release period for Australia but we're working hard to get the invite emails out to people on the wait list and also open general availability there.  We appreciate your patience.

Hi Frank, thanks for your response. Unfortunately it hasn't been resolved, our application was approved about 3 weeks ago and we sent all the documentation confirming our identity. This was accepted about two days later. I have spoken to about 3 different people about it and opened a ticket and all are looking into it. It's frusturating to have been on the waiting list since April, then be approved only to not be able to login as yet. We're really keen to give it a go, so any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
