Paid my payment early now I am getting collections calls

I am very upset with paypal.  I have sent multiple emails to customer service about my paypal credit account.  I did not receive a response email from customer service and now I am receiving nasty and hostile calls from paypal credit.  I have an EXCELLENT payment history with paypal.  I made my December payment on 12/14.  And then due to a military field exercise I had to make my January payment early on 12/30.  This payment was not counted towards January but was counted as a second payment in December and now they have charged me a fee for being late in January and shown me as past due, I am receiving hostile collections calls!!!!  I cannot believe that making an early payment would subject me to harassing phone calls. I cannot believe that I am being treated as delinquent customer and receiving collections calls for paying EARLY!!!!!  I want to get resolved but if this continues I will just payoff and close my account for horrible customer service and business practices. This happened with another credit agency for the same reason because I paid out of the correct billing cycle, but they immediately refunded my late fee and made my account current when the saw that I had attempted to pay early and had not realized that it might not count.

Paying early for a credit account will count towards the current month; this is normal and will reduce your balance but will still require a payment for statement of the subsequent month.  This means you will accrue interest and at the same time be in default on the payment due.  You will need to satisfy the current payment due and any possible late fees.

You could call PayPal Credit customer service for an explanation, but you will still need to satisfy the current outstanding balance if you want to get rid of collectors; they are only doing their job.

I totally understand that they are doing their job, but they do not have to be rude or threatening.  I have had this account for over 8 years and never been late.  Making a one day mistake should not result in criminal treatment.  And its not even 30 days late.  This is not my only credit account, and I am appalled by the treatment I have received by paypal.  That might be their job, but that does not seem to equal job buisness.  I guess that I should just be happy that I am in the position to transfer my balance and close the account in favor of a buisness with friendlier customer services practices.  I hope that $35 bucks was worth it the loss of a long term good customer.
