Amount to be paid is over my limit

I need to use my PayPal MasterCard (debit card) to buy airline tickets that will cost a little more than $800. However, I have a maximum backup limit of $400. How can I move money from my bank account into my PayPall account so that I can buy the tickets?

Hello there, and great question!

There are two options for this.

The first (and perhaps the easiest) would be to change the back up limit your PayPal Debit MasterCard.  You can do this by going to Profile > My Money > Update beside PayPal Debit MasterCard > select your card > Change > select the limit from the available choices and click Continue.

If you can't move it high enough or this isn't an option for you, instead consider using the "Add Money" option in the tabs up top after logging into your account.  This will allow you to transfer funds into your balance in advance; the transfer will post in about three to five business days (weeknds/holidays don't count).  Once they're in there, you can use them to make your purchase.
