a friend sent 600$ to my paypal but paypal only shows $582.30. How does this occur?

if sent via goods and services,fee is 30 cents plus 2.9-4.4%

you can return it and ask him to send via friend and family,but it could heldup due to Paypal review.

if you do no such thing,it could be withheld pending tracking shows it has been delivered,worse,your friend can claim he did not receive anything and file a dispute and get his money back
