What’s PayPal’s Policy on refunding donations

I recently had a few people make donations to me for what they said was to be used for gas for a trip to Tyler Tx. We received a $40 donation from a lady for gas. After a few days she wanted her money back after we had already made the trip. She filled a claim to get her money back nd we denied her request. We did that because the money was already spent for gas. I have all the correspondences from her that State that the donation was for gas on the trip. She made this donation knowingly and it was used. She claims she didn’t get anything for her money. That what her claim says. There was nothing to give her from the donation. She got a receipt from PayPal but she is still claiming that she didn’t get anything for her money. I’v looked at PayPals policy on donations and according to them PayPal will not refund money that people make when it’s a donation. Iv spoken to PayPal several times and they tell me that in matters like this, they will usually rule in favor of the receiver. Can you guys help me with this. What are your thoughts on this matter.

Have to go with the User Agreement:

Ineligible items and transactions under PayPal’s Purchase Protection program

Donations including payments on crowdfunding platforms.

Even from a legal standpoint:  Donations are given without return consideration.

That’s kinda what we have been trying to tell her. But that person won’t listen. I spoke to PayPal about this because we felt that she did this knowingly. But if that’s PayPals policy then they should close the disputed transaction. It’s a small amount but at this point I think that individual is fighting a loss cause. Thanks dfwsportscardzz
