Using more than one payment method on ebay

I searched around a bit and didn't really find the answer I was looking for so I thought I'd try creating a post here. This pertains to ebay and PayPal. Say I win an eBay auction and I need to pay $20. Let's say my PayPal account has a balance of $12. In the past, I've been able to use a PayPal balance and then pay the rest using a debit or credit card. I've tried to do this with the last couple of purchases that I've made and it seems that option is no longer available. Did something change? Is it dependent on what types of payments the seller accepts? Like, right now I have a payment of $5 to make for a small item. There's about $4.50 in my PayPal which I'd like to use and then pay the rest with my card. Like I said, I've been able to do this before but now it appears I can't. I could be missing something. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

PayPal don't or no longer do spilt payments.  However, they allow split payments with eBay gift cards, so if your eBay gift card does not cover the total purchase price, you can pay the difference with your bank account or credit card.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thanks for the response. Wow that's weak on ebay's part...I dunno why they wouldn't allow that.
