I have an Argentine account, and wanted to try to send money to my brother, who lives in New York.
My bank account is in ARS, but I'm not given the option to send ARS, so I'm sending it in USD. PayPal gives me the conversion rate, tells me how much will be deducted from my debit card (ISIC Visa card, so I'm it should work internationally)
"recipient doesn't accept payments from this kind of card".
Argentina has the restriction of not being able to trade currencies between ARS and foreign currencies outside of banking hours but from what I understand, PayPal handles the conversion themselves, so that shouldn't be a problem, right? From the bank's perspective, I'm just taking out "16.6 pesos", not "1 dollar", right?
