Problem were USPS did not

 The USPS dropped an item off but did not scan it as delivered. Now how am I to get paid for the item I sent out

Sure hope I didn't just give away a 400 dollar camera I sold for 200. 

 Customer sent me a reply after I asked if they received iit and they said they did.

Go to your PO and speak to the postmaster.  Bring postage receipt, buyer conversation, etc. Ask them to speak to mail carrier and check GPS records and mark it as delivered.
