Need some reassurance here. I accidently put in the wrong email address when i went to pay for a good but didn't realize it until i had already submitted. i cancelled the transaction yet the money came out of my checking account. according to paypal site, the refund is in pending status...and had been since Sunday. did i lose this money or does it take this long for the money to get back to me? is there something else i should be doing? calling my bank? contacting Paypal? thanks!
When you cancel a bank account payment, the payment still has to complete and reach PayPal. Once the bank clears it, PayPal will put the money into your PayPal account since it was canceled, instead of the recipient account. Bank payments usually take 3-5 days.
