Paypal Scam?

I've gotten about 3 receipts sent to my email over the past few months saying something like "thanks for you payment". It was an old paypal account that I never used but there was no account activity on it so I deleted it just to make sure but I'm still getting emails from paypal saying I've been charged and the this last one said it was paid with paypal credit and I'm worried someone opened up a credit card in my name. I also tried the logging in with the email but it wasn't in use.9d0c64e36d3da02fd4a394424bb3b25b.pnge43c1702fad67447e6d199ff5a114223.png

It looks like a phishing email. They are trying to get you to click a link in the email, and log into a fake PayPal site, so they can steal your PayPal password.

If you have an open PayPal account, and you clicked any links in those emails, you need to change your PayPal password.

You said that you're worried about the email stating PayPal Credit.

If you're in the US you can check your credit report. The issuer of PayPal credit in the US is called Comenity Capital.

Here is a PayPal link with more info on fake emails.
