Payment Problem Via Paypal Email Address

Hello
I am a contributor on a certain stock footage company which pays royalties to
its contributors. I signed up to receive these royalties via my PayPal email
Recently, having earned a royalty, an accounting official from the said company
told me that she attempted to pay me via PayPal without success. She told me
that PayPal said that she had to go to my website and pay me through that.
Unfortunately, I don't have any website so I have not yet received my payment.
I wonder why she was asked to pay me through a website. What I know  is that in
order to send funds from one PayPal account to another you would need the other
person's email address. Once you have their email address all you will need to
do is click on the "send money" tab and enter the details.
Please help me to solve this payment problem via Paypal.

I have tried to contact Paypal but in vain because the message centre page does not function properly!

No one here knows details of your stock footage company (whatever that is).  You will need to resolve the issue with that company.  They need to select the send payment and use your email.

You should contact them and ask specifically what steps they are taking to send the money.  Once you have those details somone might be able to help.

 

Where is the company located?  What currency do they use?

The company is located in the USA. They use the US Dollar currency.

Hello

I have just contacted the company again and here is their response:

 

I have attempted to pay you several times and still receive the same error. Here is what PayPal says;

"There's a problem

This recipient accepts Paypal payments only through their
website. To complete this payment, please go to their
website and follow their instructions, or email the recipient
for instructions.
If you continue to encounter problems, please contact customer service."

 

I have never used a website to accept Paypal payment and, I don't have any website.

OK, so EXACTLY what steps is the sender taking BEFORE the error message.  How is the sender attempting to initiate the transfer?

Try: Summary > Seller Preferences > Block Payments, and set the first option, Allow payments from only Confirmed addresses to 'No'.  And allow initiate payments from Send money tab too.

The following are the steps the sender taking BEFORE the error message/ How the sender initiates the transfer.

 

"I am clicking on Pay for goods and services. I then enter your email address. It takes me to the page where I put in the payment amount and I click on send money. The error will sometimes pop up before I even click the send money button."

 

Please help to solve the problem.

Adjust your seller settings as I suggested above and have the sender try to send again.

I don't see any link for adjusting the "seller settings or Seller Preferences."

 

Or is it because I have a Paypal Personal Account that I cant find Preferences link/button?

If so, does that mean I can't receive my payment from the said company?
