PayPal won't let me use new gift card on Spotify

The gift card I had selected on PayPal to charge for Spotify was running low, so I bought another gift card to replace it. I went to wallet and linked the new gift card; after that I went to Spotify to change my payment details and it took me to PayPal. I saw it still had my old card selected and I clicked choose another card, but my new card wasn't listed. So then I clicked link another card. I filled out the card information of the new gift card again and clicked 'add'. It would load and say processing... but 10sec. later it would stop and it would leave me on the same page with no errors or anything. So for some reason it won't let me use my new gift card with Spotify. I removed all the cards on my PayPal and only linked the new gift card, and I went back on Spotify to change payment details, but when it took me to PayPal it tells me "your PayPal account is missing a payment method" even though I know I have a card on it. I tried to add the old card back (the one I had set PayPal to use for Spotify) but it would do the same thing where it would say processing... and stop 10sec. later leaving me on the same page. I decided to go on PayPal community for help, but it said that my email wasn't verified and I need to verify it, and then I tried to do that but it kept telling me "something went wrong on our end". I opened a new PayPal account to ask for help. I don't know why PayPal is telling me that I don't have a payment method when I go to pay for Spotify when I have 2.
