PayPal transaction not accepted by Newegg.

I've attempted to buy a bunch of stuff from Newegg, tried to checkout and an error message saying: "We apologize that we are not able to authorize payment for your order now." Tried it on multiple browsers, cleared cookies and tried again every time, not sure if it is Newegg's fault. I have more than sufficient PayPal balance for the transaction and I've paid for other goods and services from other merchants using my balance.

I've used Credit Card previously on Newegg and it all worked out just fine, but for some reason, PayPal does not work here but it works in other places.

I need help from you guys as I can't complete the project I've been working on without this.

Newegg does accept PayPal however, there are a few reasons why they don't:

Newegg does not accept PayPal for the following types of purchases:

* Will Call orders
* Subscription orders
* Pre-orders
* Backorders

Newegg also has 3rd party sellers - it's possible that some of them do not accept PayPal payments.

And last, assuming that your PayPal account is verified - as you stated you have successfully purchased from other merchants - all that can be suggested at this point is that you contact Newegg direct for assistance.  You can use their "chat" feature or call them, the details can be found on their web site.

I'm pretty sure that all of the items in the cart do not fall into any of the mentioned categories that are not eligible for payment via PayPal. All the items in the cart are sold by Newegg and not any 3rd party seller. Thanks for your contribution and help.

I had this exact same problem when trying to buy a bunch of Ubiquiti gear last month that all had promo codes.  I contacted their support as they should be able to dig deeper and provide an actual error code.  Their support was unable to solve the problem, responding with the same boilerplate, you can't use Paypal for these types of purchases or these shipping options, none of which applied.

I attempted to use both my Paypal Credit and an actual credit card.  No dice.  It really looks like Newegg is blocking it on their end.  Perhaps because they have their own credit card and financing options now???

Regardless, I gave up on that purchase.  Now, here I am today with a completely different cart, two promo codes, and the exact same results.  Any time I try and checkout with Paypal, I get the same error message.  

It would be nice if Paypal and Newegg would, together, research what is actually happening.  Is this a bug, or is it by design to prevent us from using Paypal.  Honestly, on my end, it looks like that later.  And that's unfortunate.
