PayPal Button not adding Value Added Tax

I've added some new items to my website and created a PayPal button by copying one of my saved buttons. However, the new button doesn't add the VAT to the item, even though I used one of my saved buttons that does add the tax. I can't find an option on the create similar button page that indicates if VAT is to added or not. Can someone help, please?

Thank you you for your speedy response to my cry for help. I'll read through all the various coding option and give whichever code a try that appears to be appropriate.
