Pay Pal check from my account sent to wrong personal address

I had an old address linked to my account.  I withdrew money from my PayPal account and had it sent to my old address instead of my new address.  The check was never forwarded to my new address.  How to I contact someone at PayPal to ask if my check was cashed by someone else or have it canceled and reissued.  I cannot find a phone number or email address to ask a specific question.  Thanks

Hello rmg001,

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I can understand your concern over a check that was sent to an incorrect address. Here's what you can do.

To contact PayPal's Customer Service, log on to your account, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Contact Us. On the next page, click Call Customer Support. You'll see the phone number for your region and a one-time pass code which will help you navigate the automated phone system.

If you prefer, you can click Message Center after clicking Contact Us. That will let you send a secure message to PayPal. After clicking Message Center, click Compose and follow the directions.

You should be able to check the status of the check in your Activity. When you're logged on, click Activity at the top of the page and, if needed, change the date range to search for the transaction. When you locate the transaction, click on it to display the Details Page. "Issued" means the check has been sent but it hasn't been cashed. "Cashed," of course, means it's been cashed by someone.

If the check hasn't been cashed, you can request a Stop Payment and the funds will be returned to your PayPal account as long as PayPal can see that the check has not been cashed. You can submit the Stop Payment request by calling Customer Service or by sending a message.

I hope this information is helpful. Thanks for taking the time to post your question here in the Community Forum. Thanks for being a part of the PayPal Community!

Sincerely,

Michael
