Pay After Delivery Not Available

I know this has been asked many times. But why doesn't pay after delivery show up as an option? I have searched and read many posts about this issue. But I haven't found a solid answer other than it only random shows up or whatever. My account is verified and linked to my bank account. I do have it set as my preferred payment option but I don't see it when I try to checkout on an ebay item. Anyways I'd rather not deal with customer service if it's just going to be a hassle, so hopefully someone can help me out here. Thanks...

Well, PAD has been very convenient for me.... BEFORE... lately, I am not seeing this option anymore. Can paypal answer this question? Don't tell that it only applies to certain sellers/retailers as I already know that. I purchased to the same retailer/seller ever since and had PAD available to me before. Now, it is no longer there. Can anyone from PAYPAL chime in to this?

The best way to refer to the items as qualified is if that item has the least likelyhood of being disputed.

 

Since with pay after delivery, paypal pays for it first and then collects the money from the buyer's bank account after 14 days, the paypal system also has to consider how the PAD purchase  would not end up being disputed. To decrease the chances of that happening then the PAD should not be placed on High risk items for disputes i.e. authentic bags that may turn up fake based on description, Shoes that are marked as authentic, items that have been disputed in the past but is put up in the listing again, seller's propensity to have disputed transactions.

 

Somehow, a big part of how the items are qualified for PAD is it's tendency to be disputed, the lesser the propensity to be disputed, the higer the chances of an item to be on PAD.

I have another issue I bought an item from a seller and used PAD at the checkout and apparently PayPal didn't allow it to go through and I got a $35 overdraft because of it. Bunch of **bleep** IMO

Pay After Delivery may not be available for each transaction you make, but where a transaction is eligible, you will see the option at checkout. If you are not being offered this option, make sure your other payment methods have sufficient funds to pay for the purchase.

 

Pay After Delivery is not intended to be used as a credit option, so it's always recommended to have funds available at the time you're making your payment.

My purchases were all ju ju be items. (All expansive bags and accessories). It let me use PAD on a $102 bag but not a $15 accessory. So the dispute issue is bunk to me. I've noticed that if they send an invoice I can't use pad but if they just request the money I can. Both are covered under the goods and services and allow you to describe the item. I'm going to email paypal And ask what qualifies further and hope for a response.

I honestly dont believe that, ive used pad for all kinds of high risk purchases on eBay. Its just in the past few weeks it hast been working. An ive always paid.

I have used this service for about 6 months with no issues at all. Then last month I made 3 purchases to the same seller using PAD well the seller sent 2 of my items to the wrong address or he put the wrong tracking # on my items, and the third item was not sent . After a week I filed a claim with paypal the seller and I got everything worked out and I closed the claims and the money was deducted from my account just as it was supposed to. Ever since then the PAD option is not showing up on Ebay at checkout. I have called Paypal several times and I get different stories everytime Ebay is not allowing, the seller is not allowing, security has me blocked but they don't know why, give it 24 hours, give it 48 hours. The bottom line is they don't know and I think because I made a claim the security has blocked it, but I have not been told this nor have I received any notification from Paypal as to why this has happened. So I ended up here trying to have my voice heard by paypal.

hmm thats funny... this exact issue is happening with me. i have a claim currently open, and since then PAD has not been showing up for me at all. this isn't a solution, but i thought you'd like to know im also in the same boat.
