I know this has been asked many times. But why doesn't pay after delivery show up as an option? I have searched and read many posts about this issue. But I haven't found a solid answer other than it only random shows up or whatever. My account is verified and linked to my bank account. I do have it set as my preferred payment option but I don't see it when I try to checkout on an ebay item. Anyways I'd rather not deal with customer service if it's just going to be a hassle, so hopefully someone can help me out here. Thanks...

I use Pay After Delivery on numerous different kinds of transactions and as of two days ago, for the same types of transactions with some of the same sellers I've used it with before, it is not showing up. This is going to hurt my spending abilities PayPal. I always pay the Pay After Delivery on the date it is due and why is it not available now for the transactions I've been making on it for over a few years. Please advise if this is just a temporary glitch or you are discontinuing offering it.
Thank you

I see that I'm not the only one having this issue. I had used this service for months on literally every purchase that I could and now its not available as of 3 days ago. I'd like to know what is considered a qualifying purchase? Anytime I purchased something the option had always been there and now I think I was able to use it once out of multiple attempts. If paypal doesn't want to address this issue or even offer this service then there is no reason to beat around the bush, just be honest with your customers. We just want answers at this point.

Thank you so much to all of you for sharing your stories. I honestly felt I was the only one having this issue. I was using PAD for every transaction on eBay. Had never not have it as an option. Unfortunately, I had some fraudulent (unrelated to eBay or PayPal) activity on my checking account. The bank closed my checking and opened a new account and was supposed to allow the Paypal transactions to flow through. Unfortunately, they blocked 4 transactions. I immediately, attempted to resolve them with Paypal. Long story short I got those transactions resolved, updated my account with my new information and everything appeared to be back to normal. Then about 3 weeks ago I noticed PAD was no longer an option with some of my favorite sellers from whom I had previously purchased. I waited a couple of days and tried again and still not an option. I called in and was given the scripted answer. I was told to try again after 24 hours, etc. I tried again and still no luck. Called back and was told there was a security hold on my account, they would escalate, I would receive a response within 24 hours. No response called back same thing. I just spent an hour on the phone with them and wound up getting escalated to a manager. Still no resolution.
Seeing some of these problems though I feel like it might be because I had two eBay money back guarantee claims. Both times it involved items where I purchased the item from someone in China. Both items were fully funded with PAD. I know there is a long lead time on items shipping from China so I just like to make sure I use PAD to mitigate some of the time I am out an item and the money. One seller never shipped the item and never responded and would not provide a refund. I escalated to eBay and they refunded the money. The second one was an item I received that did not work even though it was sold as "new". The seller indicated they would send me a replacement. After 3.5 weeks and no replacement I submitted a claim on that one as well. As I mentioned though, both of these items were completely funded. They went through the PAD process and Paypal got their money.
I am at a loss and beyond frustrated. Good luck to the rest of you.

I agree with everyone here. I had used PAD on certain items in the past and when I go now to purchase another one of the exact same items from the same seller PAD doesn't show up. I've tested it with several items and sellers and never shows up anymore. Have they done away with it?

It hasn't been working for me lately either! It's not even working with all the sellers and merchants I have used it for in the past! All of them! And because of that I needed to get a refund on an ebay item I wanted that I couldn't afford and somebody else bought the thing before I could when the guy relisted the item!! What the heck is going on??

Same thing happened to me. Out of nowhere I can no longer use it. Even with people I've previously used it with as well as websites that I've used it on before. Their customer service was terrible and just told me the same scripted thing over and over on how it's enabled on my account but not all sellers accept it. Great, thanks.
