Linking Bancorp with Paypal Account Issues

Hello,

I've been having some issues with linking the bancorp account with my paypal account.

I'm trying to set up my paypal prepaid card in a way so that I can transfer money from my paypal account to my prepaid card. I've come across a few issues in setting it up, but probably because I'm not entirely sure how to do it. On the prepaid site, I can't access "My Profile" because it says that the card has not been activated, even though i've used it before and it says that it's "Activated and Ready to Use". The magnetic strip on it doesn't work either, so maybe that's the issue? Is it the fault of the card itself?

Now my issue with the bancorp bank account is that it just won't link to the paypal. I was given a bancorp account on my prepaid site that i'm trying to use, but the bank account just won't link. I have triple-checked to make sure the numbers i type in are correct and in the right space and that i've clicked checking and all that, and i've also redone the process multiple times, but the page just keeps loading with the blue and white circle thing, or I get a red message that just says "Sorry, we are not able to process your request. Please try again later."

I'm becoming very frustrated. Could someone help me with this?

to access your Bancorp account,it needs its routing number and your bank account number.

are you keying in the routing number, all US banks  should have a routing number

Hello,

Yes, I think I am. They are the routing and account numbers under Paypal transfers, if I'm not mistaken?

I was given a bancorp account on my prepaid site that i'm trying to use, but the bank account just won't link.

may be that account is just for the prepaid card, you have to ask either Bancorp or whoever sold you the card.

linking a bank account means your bank account, not a prepaid card

Its not going to link. I had the same problem. Paypal just doesn't accept Bancorp bank. Alot of apps where I accept money wouldn't allow me to use my bancorp routing # & other info. Its like its specifically for the prepaid master card. Facebook pay doesnt even accept it yet and neither does tge square app

if you go to the site,it said all the prepaid debit card members' fund is held in one account FDIC insured, which means there is only one account for all prepaid cards.

so your account number is not a valid number for transferring YOUR money using the old fashion way.

also the card you bought in store is a temporary one,you are supposed to register it with your name, address,ss number and they sent you a permanent card with your name on it,then there are things you can do with it,like linking with your paypal account.

check the q & a session on their site

Besides, the account/routing number is for direct deposit service to give to your employer to get your paycheck, the government for your tax refund, disability, social, and other gov benefits.  If you opened a savings account through the card, the funds are withdrawn through the prepaid card, I believe.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
