Known Issue: Received payments not appearing in balance

"PayPal experienced a brief technical issue yesterday during a planned system update which resulted in some consumers being unable to see a transaction in their account history after it had processed. And, some merchants may not have received immediate payment.  
 
The technical issue has been fixed and PayPal is working to have these transactions reflected accurately for both consumers and merchants.

I know this has been a frustrating issue and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.  I want to assure you this was immediately escalated and is being worked on at a high priority.  We don't have an exact ETA but our engineers are working to fix the transactions affected by this issue as soon as possible.

Q. Why I cannot see the money in my balance? I am sure that I received a payment because I received the email confirmation.  

A system change last night has resulted in an issue whereby instant bank funded transactions are not appearing on account balances. Once you received the email confirming your payment the transaction did complete but it will only appear in the account balance once this issue is resolved.

 

Q. Why does the system not allow me to withdraw the payment that I already received?

You will be able to withdraw the funds once the transaction appears on your account balance.

 

Q. I received a payment, but I cannot see the money in my balance. Should I send the parcel?

Until the payments shows as completed in your account activity log we would advise you not to send out the parcel. We expect this issue to be resolved soon therefore this shouldn't cause any major delay to your parcel send.

FIXED!?!?! THEN WHY HAS MY MONEY BEEN IN LIMBO FOR OVER 25 HOURS!?!?!! Infuriating. 

 

 

Same issue here. Transactions are showing in activity but not being added to my balance. I've called twice, yesterday and today, and all they told me is  "it's a known issue and we are working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Keep waiting."

 

If it's a known issue, WHY is the site still up? Why isn't there a red alert or something on the paypal site telling me there is an issue? If I had known this would happen, I would have had my friend just go to the ATM. The lack of care and transparency happening right now feels very shady and deceitful.

There should be a notice on the main page to let everyone know this is happening.

 

I have over a $100 in 'limbo' right now and I'd like to be able to transfer it before Friday, otherwise I won't get it until Monday.
I get that glitches happen (that's the life of the internet), but when it comes to money, there should be a very obvious "Hey, we're having a glitch and we're working on it! Sorry, and thanks for your patience!"

I'm at least glad I'm not the only one. Haha.

Having the same issue. Account balance is not updating. Spoke to a customer service rep last night who said it would be fixed within 24 hours. Please let us know when this issue is resolved. It has been 12 hours.

It won't be 48hrs is been going on since August 2016 Keep calling them There is also a specific link that didn't take you to the help u asking for and there is STILL no informative presence that tells us that there is an issue If anyone knows how to legally get through to these ppl that would be a great help On policy and updates top policy it days we can cancel out accounts by October 2016 Bit how can we cancel workout legal representation and our money floating in cyberspace somewhere in a hackers account Any legal knowledge from anyone reading this would be very helpful Also ppl we need top make these posts on Facebook and all social media local news and trust me they will fox it they won't want that negative attention on them! It'll save new users from being butthurt the way we are and being mistreated Thank you

This sticky needs to be updated. It's a year old and doesn't reflect the current problem.

 

It's amazing how it's still stickied and not being updated. I didn't think PayPal is running such a two bit operation.

Im having the same exact issue. Saw the transaction go through as completed but no notification of payment cleared on my end to transfer. this better be cleared up soon. Ive got a business to run.

I agree it is very shady and deceitful. I wish there was an alternative on ebay other than paypal.

They are having issues and your money will not show up in your balance. If you need money ASAP, use a different method or you'll be stuck waiting an undeterminable amount of time for your funds. This has been happening for at least 24 hours already.

 

I can't believe PayPal has done nothing what so ever to notify the community.
