I get this error on the security check when trying to send money to a friend.

 

I've called phone support 5+ times in the last 7 days and its crazy how **bleep** useless they are even though I'M CALLING THEM ON THE NUMBER I'M TRYING TO VERIFY WITH.

 

they just say things like :

"wait 24 hours before trying to send the payment again"

"I've submitted a request to update your account please wait 48 hours"

"the phone number isnt why you cant send money" Oh yeah how the **bleep** do i send money without getting past the security check?

 

my account is verified and all that **bleep** and it has been for over a year now.

 

Any help? I owe a friend money that lives in another country and can't get the money to him.

did anyone find any solution for this ? i have my money stock there for 2 months till now and i cant pay or send money to anyone ..

The solution is get a phone registered to your name and address the same as PayPal.

I have owned this number since 2007, when I got back from overseas. It is my number, registered in my name, to my address.

You know what's even more annoying than people who swear? Smartasses who think they're **bleep** clever by giving obvious answers that everybody already knew the answer to before posting. 

 

For some reason Paypal's verification failed, even though the info on my side is correct, and then I have to go through their absolutely terrible customer service to solve it. So we're trying to find a workaround instead of having to spend hours of free time. Thanks for your great help though

Why in the BLEEP should we have to pay money for a new phone number in our name when we ALREADY HAVE ONE just to verify for PayPal? I have a cell phone in my son's name, and a home phone in my husband's name, and PayPal wants me to pay extra money just to have a phone in my name for no other purpose than a random security check on an account that's been open for over 15 years? SERIOUSLY???

 

We have several people living in the same household with their own PayPal accounts, and you're saying we should have five completely separate phone accounts just so we can verify for PayPal? This is insane.
