If I don't have enough in credit...

I'm new to the whole PayPal credit thing.  If I don't have enough in PayPal credit, will the remainder come out of the debit card that had been previously linked?

Many thanks!

No, it won't.  It just checks your account and some other factors quickly to decide on the spot whether credit line will get extended to cover the purchase as you check out so you need not ask.  However, if the credit increase is declined, PayPal may use your back up, preferred, or the default funding sources so make sure they have the funds to cover the purchase just in case.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

So, if I understand correctly, it will come entirely from credit or entirely from my account, but not partially from each?

Using PayPal Credit for a purchase is not automatic. If the PayPal Credit option is presented at time of purchase payment, then it isn't available so you'll need to select a different payment method.

Odd...I didn't select credit on a recent small purchase, and it came out of credit anyway. Nonetheless, is there some fashion in which I may pay partially via credit and the remainder from my account? Many thanks for your speedy and patient responses!

You can't split PayPal Credit purchases.

If you maintain excellent credit and financial stablity, PayPal Credit will automatically increase your credit limit when needed. when PayPal Credit is specifically offered at time of payment.
