I paid for a service and did not receive said service, seller stopped responding

I paid for some help in a video game (I know, stupid, but being a college student I don't have much time). The seller organized it with me, but when it came down to actually getting it done, he stopped responding all of the sudden after responding immediately the whole time prior to that. Is there anything I can do? I cannot cancel the payment and the resolution center options are very underwhelming and does not have the correct options for what I need to resolve.

How did you pay? What paypal option did you use?

How did you FUND that paypal payment?

I paid with a credit card using his email address to search for him. I'm not sure what paypal option I used because I can't see it in my summary.

If its not in your paypal summary then it sounds as if you may have paid as a guest buyer.

You can either give customer services a call and see if they will set up a claim for you

OR

file a chargeback directly via your card issuer.
