Why did PayPal take money out of my bank account when I have money in my PayPal account?

I use PayPal to buy movies and tv shows from VUDU. But lately the last two movies I bought from VUDU, PayPal took the money from my bank account instead of the money I had in PayPal account. I want to know why?

Do you use pay after delivery?

PayPal is listed as my payment on the VUDU website.

I had over $700.00 in my paypal account.  I purchased several items on ebay and paid through paypal.  Paypal took the money from my bank account instead of my paypal account!  Now I have overdraft fees to pay at my bank and possibly more to come.  Anyone got an answer to why paypal did this?

I did contact paypal but do not expect a response so if anyone has an answer or idea as to why, please reply.

I should have listened to people when they told me NOT to keep money in paypal just when buying or paying for something just to let it transfer from bank account.  I am so **bleep** about this especially since I have never had an overdraft at my bank and now I do.  Taking all my money out and when purchasing items will just use bank as the back up so I won't get an overdraft fee from bank.

This is wrong and have heard of this being done to others.

Depends what funding source you have set up on your paypal account.

Also before you click submit to pay it shows you where the funds will be debited from so if it did not show your balance you did not have to go ahead and pay until you had sorted it.

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.
