Help with an error sending money

I have accidently sent money to a friend who's account was closed.  When I asked him to please go and return the money to me, he says he doesn't have any idea how to get back into paypal to fix it.  Is there a way to get my money back?

What you have to do is go into paypal and under activity you click their name and press the refund button
