G2A.com and Paypal Credit

I have tried to purchase 2 different games from the website G2A.com with paypal credit, but couldn't, it gave me the error "PayPal gateway has rejected request. the customer must return to PayPal to select new funding sources (#10422: Customer must choose new funding sources).". But when I selected my card as the form of payment it did let me buy the games. I used paypal credit to buy some movie tickets from Fandango though, so it is working. My guess is that Paypal credit cannot be used to buy digital goods, but im also thinking that the site G2A.com doesnt accept PayPal credit as a form of payment,or i might just need to do something else. Can someone please clarify this for me. Thank You.

This Exact thing is happening to me too, trying to understand as to why. Maybe they are having trouble?

Having the same problem...wishing a moderator would reply. Thought perhaps because i had a balance in paypal but transferred it to my bank and still no option for paypal credit on Grandinroad website.

There could be a couple things happening here. One, like Gersson said, G2A.com may not accept PayPal Credit. While in most cases merchants don't get an option on what funding sources they can accept, that isn't the case on some of our credit products. They may have, for some reason, decided to not allow that.

Beyond that, depending on how they process payments it is possible that PayPal Credit can't be used as a funding option. Given these are virtual items being sold I'm thinking they're using a billing agreement option which PayPal Credit can't be used for.

Either way, it sounds like PayPal Credit just isn't going to work for this. 😞

The worst part about this is, that I used to use paypal credit for everything including buying games from g2a. must have spent hundreds throughout the time I've used g2a. this has only recently become a problem. not just with g2a though. with like every vendor I would buy goods through except like ebay.
