Funds in Limbo

I received funds from someone on Thursday/Friday, March 8/9.  It is now past the date when the transaction was to be completed, and though I can see the +75.00, my balance is still 0.00.  What does this mean?

Ebay sale?

Website sale?

Private sale?

Clearance date?

New seller hold?

It was a refund.  Supposedly, it was to be "complete" yesterday.  Do I just....wait for my balance to show the amount?

Well it would have helped if you had actually said it was a refund in the first place, saved me typing all that lot out which was not needed !!

How did you FUND the paypal payment to the seller that was refunded in the first place?

Wow...apparently emotional intelligence is not included in the community package. Never mind.

Well i have plenty of emotional or other intelligence and that is why I can work out the answer to your problem.

But from your original post you would have to be telepathic to know you were talking about a refund so as I said it would have helped if you had done so.

Thanks for wasting my time.

Bye

I paid for a service using my credit card. I did not make use of the service, so the merchant said he would issue me a refund through pay pal. I received an email reminding me to claim my money. I then had to set up a pay pal account so that I could retrieve it. I received notification that the transaction would be completed on March 13th after I claimed the money. However, my balance is still 0 even though the $75 is showing. So I am assuming there may just be a delay. Play upon further reading, I see that you are a volunteer. I am sorry that I presumed you were a customer service representative. As one who used to work in customer service, I know how important things like tapped and graciousness were. I made a false assumption.

Guess you couldn't read that this is a 'user to user' community advice forum either as well then?

Nope, volunteer means that I do not work for Paypal.

I have been helping on here for 10 years and with nearly 10,000 kudos / solutions I often have the answers that the customer service 'reps' don't (as they read from a script).

Yours was an easy one.

I probably should have tried to use a laptop rather than my phone, as I do not see well. Thank for the explanation of how the forum works. Because I am new to PayPal, I did not realize the type of funds received was so necessary for the answer, and I did not provide all the necessary information. I'll try calling PayPal for an answer. Sorry to have not asked correctly.
