Can't login into an account shared with me.

Hello.
The problem is following. I am working as freelancer and try to login into account that's run by my client (I need to set up the API access and export the reports for further analysis).
He's created a user via "Add Users", assigned privilendges and gave me Login/Pass. Once I enter credentials on login page I am shown a screen that says that Paypal has sent the code to the app. Ok. But I can't login into the app using Login/Pass as app demands email.
Other way of letting Paypal I'm the right guy is sharing my phone. Cool, but my phone number isn't accepted (due to probably me being in other country than main account of my client is assigned to - Ukraine vs. US).
So basically the question is can I being Ukrainian sign into the US account shared with me by my client?

Assuming your client set you up properly - all the client needs to do is provide you with the user id and password. The user id is not an email address, just a name or id the client has made up. You would use that id and password to login to your client's PayPal account. At least that's the way it works for our setup. Not sure why you're being prompted for an email address? You should be able to login to your client's PayPal account using just the user id and password as Ukaine is a PayPal authorized country. Perhaps PayPal's customer support can assist.

Accessing another member's account with the other member's password is really a bad idea for the for the account holder. Logging in to another person's international account riisks both accounts being limited for suspicious activity. Such limits would lkely be permanent. Stick to logging into your own account in your own country, not into another person's international account.
