Can I use a US only One Vanilla Prepaid VISA Card through Paypal?

Long story short, I'm trying to purchase something online but don't have a credit card. Purchased one of the Vanilla cards only to find out I was being charged from Ireland, even though the company was US based. Their customer support says that I could try paying with PayPal.

What I want to know is if I can add that card to PayPal and even though it is US only still have the payment go through? Or would I encounter the same problem - payment doesn't go through because the charge comes from Ireland, and I waste my time?

What do you mean by "charged from Ireland"?  You mean you were charged in €?

You should be able to use it if you can add/confirm the card and the card has money in it to cover the purchase, plus your test charges which will be refunded.  And make sure to register the card at the site on back of card and that the card owner info registered matches your PayPal owner account info.

Well, the company I'm buying from is in the US, but they appear to have another company in Ireland handle purchases, so when I buy the product, the charge comes from Ireland, and the One Vanilla cards only work in US or US territories, so even though they are charging me USD the fact that it comes from Ireland means they block it. That's what they told me when I called, anyway.

Are the test charges refunded immediately or do I need to have extra money in the card to cover that? The product I'm buying is worth 25$, should I have more than that in the card (I don't)?

These cards only seem to need a zip code when I call to activate, is that enough?
