Can I receive payment to my checking account?

I have a PayPal account that I use for making occassional purchases. Someone would like to pay me via PayPal for work that I have done. Can I receive cash by linking  to a checking account?  OR am I simply receiving a credit to be used for future purchases?

Payments recevied go into your PayPal account.  You can then transfer the funds to your linked bank account.
