very simple question

 I put  money in my account,

then when I bought something through paypal,...

it didn't use the money I had in hte account.....  it seems it directly withdrew it from my bank like a debit card.

so...  do I not need to ever put money into paypal?

As a buyer you never need funds in your paypal balance.

As long as you have a linked card or bank account paypal will take directly from there.

But its odd it didn't use your balance first as that is normally the default funding source.

It may not have done if you use PAD (pay after delivery), or they are pending still.
