shopping cart not clear after purchase

Hi

A customer is trying to make a new purchase from my site but was surprised that his last purchase (which did complete properly) is still in his shopping cart. Any ideas why this happens?

RAM2275 - I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same issue, but am glad that you opened a ticket. At this time, supposedly, a fix has been developed, but PayPal is having a difficult time determining the best way to release the fix into production.

Just got a call from PayPal .  They konw about the issue of the cart not clearing after a payment when using the PayPal internal  buttions (View cart)  .   They are not fixing it as senior managenment has decided to let it stand as it is. They are saying that is the way it is designed and are not changing it.  So my only recource is to use a third pary CART that does the job correctly.

This issue only is involved when you need to use a cart as you want the customer to add items then pay when it is all done.

I have seen that when you just use the BUY button it works  as there is no cart involved.  5-5-2015

Ram2275 - Thank you for the information. I also received an update from PayPal today (06 May 2015). However, the update provided to me indicated that the delayed release of a fix was due to a higher priority, but that the developers' efforts have been refocused on this particular issue. No target release date was provided which leads me to believe perhaps your update is more accurate. Looks like a third-party cart may be the only solutions... Very disappointing!
