"Make This Recurring" on mobile

Hi, I'm managing donations for a non-profit organization and am using custom buttons on their website (rather than the default embedded "Donate" button from PayPal). There is a "Make This Recurring" option for repeating payments that shows on desktop but not in the mobile view. How can I make this option available on mobile as well?

There is another topic that addresses this issue but it has been open for almost a year with no reply from PayPal.
