Hi refixed,

Sorry for any confusion. Right now we are experiencing a technical issue in some countries regarding withdrawals to a card. To initiate a withdrawal please use this link: https://www.paypal.com/wdfunds.

It's not just to a card, it's to bank accounts too.  Instead of up to 2 hours I was told 2-3 working days (effectively making it 5 days - and now I've been told the problem is 'solved' but I wont be getting any money until between 26th February - 1st March - can you explain why this is 'PayPal_Dustin' or anyone else from PayPal??  Thanking me for my patience and understanding whilst telling me I've probably got to wait another week for my money due to your system update is not acceptable.  Even taking four days to get round to answering a query is unacceptable.

When will we be getting our money paid to us??  I'm clearly not the only one who hasnt received money they should have had paid into their accounts.

Hi Ishbilanne,

I know any delays in receiving your money can be frustrating. Withdrawals can take anywhere from 2 – 72 hours to complete through the PayPal system. Generally, they will complete within 2 hours. However, we will occasionally hold a withdrawal for further review. To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal security system reviews every transaction before it's released.

This type of review can happen for various reasons. For example, you may have received a higher-than-usual amount of money into your account, you may be logging in from an unsecure network, or you may have made changes to your account profile recently. Once our review has finished your withdrawal will show as ‘Completed’ and will be processed to your bank account as long as the review did not turn up any issues. I hope that helps.

No, there are no 'issues' at my end which would have caused this to happen.  The reply I received from some Customer Service person to my query through my account indicated it is posted below, which clearly states it is an issue caused by PayPal which is apparently now fixed - yet you still wont pay the money into my account for up to another week - I'm mystified how something can be sorted out yet you will still hold onto my money.  'Frustration' does not cover how I feel right now.  You fix your problem but still wont give me what is mine - why?  I have responded to the message below, but given it took them four days (which is shocking) to even send that unhelpful reply I'm assuming it's going to take them another four days to bother responding again.  I've removed my name etc, however below is the full response I received to 'answer' my query.  Needless to say I'm delighted that you thank me for my patience and understanding!

The original date I was advised of, 24th February, was bad enough - but now 26th - 1st March??  Please explain.

Ideally I'd like a reply before I leave work today PayPal_Dustin since it's been rather an infuriating last few days and I'd really like to know what good reason there is for my money being withheld furthe when the problems have apparently been fixed.  My last post appeared twice because the site was telling me it couldnt post it, but it had.

Looks like the answer is no I cant have a decent response before I finish work, so yet another night of having to borrow money to buy what I need because PayPal wont transfer my money despite their issues being solved.

Perhaps if PayPal_Dustin is no longer available then PayPal_Olivia or PayPal_Frank could explain why this is happening and why it could take another week for me to get my money - or any of the other PayPal_whoevers that are around.

Currently investigating who I can report this to in order to get PayPal looked into for situations like this - because I'm quite sure this isnt 'normal'.  Yes delays can happen - but what is unacceptable is for PayPal to say the problem causing the delay is fixed and then still withhold money, nor is it acceptable to get fobbed off with answers indicating that it could be me/my bank's fault particularly when you've already messaged me to say it was your problem.
