Why does PAYPAL keep asking me to verify? MY CARD IS ALREADY VERIFIED!

Today when I tried to check out with Paypal from Ebay, Paypal keeps asking me to verify my credit card but it's already verified! I had NO problem yesterday and speaked to one of the paypal customer service associates, but they just told me to try again later. This is really frustrating because I have a lot of items to pay for on EBAY and because of this error I am having to make the sellers wait for my payment.

Again, my card is VERIFIED and I do not know WHY this is suddenly happening.

Certainly sorry for the obvious frustration you're experiencing with this. 😞

Just for clarification, is the system asking you to verify the card, or verify your ownership of the card. Because that's a slightly different issue.  From your post, I would say you've verified the card and it's a usable funding option.  If it's asking you to continually go through that process, then I would say something is off about it and you'd want to give us another call to investigate..

But, and this would usually happen when you're trying to make a payment, the system will sometimes ask you to verify you have the physical card to make sure that it's really you making the payment and not someone accessing your account without your permission (since they wouldn't have the card...hopefully).  So this would be more of a security step to make sure something bad doesn't happen.
