Transferring money to account

Sister sent money and we were notified in an email NOT connected to our paypal account.  Our option to claim the money is create an account or login to our account.  Obviously our existing account shows no balance.  Do we have to create an account from the email account from which we were notified or is there a wat to get the money into our original paypal acct? Thanks!

You are allowed up to 8 email addresses on the one paypal account.

So if you add the old email address and verify it then the funds should come with it.

To add an email address:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the 'Settings' icon near the top of the page.
3. Beside 'Email address', click the plus symbol.
4. Enter your new email address and click Add Email.

When you add an email address, we automatically send an email to this address. To confirm your email address:

1. Click the confirmation link in the email.
2. Enter your PayPal password.
3. Click Confirm.
