Sending Payment Vs. Recieving an Invoice

Hi, I'm trying to complete a transaction; but intead of recieveing an invoice from the seller, the seller ask that I send the payment to him/her. I wanted to know if this is safe, and whether or not it's a scam.

A legit seller would send you an invoice.   (Asking you to simply use the Send Money feature for a purchase is a red flag.)

hi everyone, I request some goods from one seller and he sent me an invoice which i paid him with confident successfully. My question is that provided a shipment tracking number but once i try to track it shows nothing only (pre-shipment label created) it's been 4 days now and no tracking info available and he is no replying to my emails. Can i cancel the payment i made? Or could it be a scam and i have been cheated with this? Thanking you all in advance!!
