Paypal Exchange Rate preferences

Hi,

For years I had my preferences set so that all my purchases were charged to my credit card in USD so that my bank would handle the exchange rate.

Last friday I bought some stuff using paypal and the option dissapeared, now I discovered that paypal used its ridiculous exchange rate instead of allowing my bank to do it, as it has been my preference since 2008.

How do I change this back to what it was, having all charges in USD and letting my bank handle the exchange??

Me too  why should I HAVE TO use paypal exchange rate Which is a RIP OFF.

Any follow up to this?  I am facing the same issue.  Want to use my no fee Discover card to buy in Canada.  No option to charge at the invoice currency.  VERY frustrating.

Has there been any resolution to this? Can I get a choice to use my credit card's exchange rate or do I have to use PayPal's rate? If I have to use PayPal's rate I won't use PayPal to buy the product.

I bought and item on ebay in USD. My VISA debit card linked to paypal is also in USD.

For some reason Paypal Converted USD amount to EUR and charged my card, which lead to my bank convert it again to USD and charge coversion fees

I don't get why this happens and how can I avoid this useless double conversion charges I'm getting from Paypal and my bank afterwords

Anyone any ideas?

Any updates? Can I now use my credit card's exhange rates or am I stuck with PayPal's?
