I recently received a large payment from a sale and as a result my paypal wallet has more than $1000 aud in it. Because of this my account is now locked and I cannot transfer any funds until I verify my identity. When I first made this account I only intended to use it to make purchases from my pre paid debit card. I mistakenly entered my name as 'Valued Customer' following instructions of my debit card. This has been my paypal accounts name ever since even though I have been the sole owner from the start and do not intend to transfer ownership of my account. I tried changing my name and got a reply saying that I couldn't, I followed up by explaining the situation in detail but have not heard from support yet. I wanted to know if I would be able to change my name as I'm not transferring ownership but just fixing a mistake? I cannot simply close my account and reopen another as it is locked with $1000 in funds.
